Angel Yu, Vice president, Human Resource, Starbucks China
Angel Yu is a seasoned HR leader with about 20 years' human resources management and leadership experiences in retail and FMCG industry in China and Asia Pacific regions. The companies that Angel serviced in her HR career path include Amway, adidas, USG Group, and Starbucks. Angel has been in the HR VP role for Starbucks China since 2009. Prior to Starbucks, she was the HR VP of adidas Greater China from 1999 to 2008. As the HR leader, Angel's priorities are always focused on growing leaders, building organization capabilities, developing people oriented culture。 She believes employee engagement is one of the most important drivers to a company's success. HR strategy should be integrated into company business strategies. In the past decade, she led her team winning many various HR awards in the past decade. Recently Starbucks China was awarded as Anon Hewitt 2013 Best Employers in China. Angel has a Bachelor degree from Shanghai Normal University and the EMBA degree from China European International Business Schools (CEIBS). She is the vice chair of CEIBS HR Study Associations. She is a certified executive coach of ICF.
