Volkswagen FAW Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd. is a Sino-German joint venture, which was co-founded by the Germany Volkswagen Group and China FAW Group Corporation. Of the total investment of nearly 3 billion Yuan Germany accounted for 60%, China 40%. Products are global conceptual engine code-named with EA888, 1.8L and 2.0L 4V TSI Engine with state-of-the-art technology, which were latest researched and developed by Audi Co. of Volkswagen Group. These series of engines have received a number of international awards in recent years. The power, oil saving and emissions standard are in the first level of the world. The products are supplied to Changchun FAW - Volkswagen Automotive Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co. Ltd., and some products are even exported to overseas. The program is planned for an annual output of 300,000 engines. At present there are nearly a thousand employees in the company, which has completed capacity increase to 1,000 engines per day. |
