A world leader in 2D and 3D design software, Autodesk offers products, services, and solutions that enable customers to create digital models and workflows so they can experience their ideas before they become a reality—not simply the visualization of ideas, but how those ideas will perform in the real world.
A Revolution in Design–Then
In 1982, the same year the computer was named Time magazine’s Man of the Year, Autodesk and its 16 employees used technology to change the world of design with the introduction of AutoCAD software. Those 25 years ago, the idea of marrying innovative technology with forward-looking ideas about how design can dramatically change the ways in which we live was born, and what began as a 2D revolution has become so much more.
A Revolution in Design–Now
Today, taking advantage of the world’s most powerful technology, more than 7,000 Autodesk employees support more than 80 products serving 160 countries. What began with one product is now the broadest and deepest product portfolio in the design world. From 2D design to 3D modeling, Digital Prototyping to building information modeling, Oscar-winning visual effects to model-based mapping, Autodesk products and services address all phases of the design process and are helping to revolutionize the world of design once more. |
