About Moen
Headquartered in North Olmsted, Ohio, Moen Incorporated is one of the world's largest manufacturers of fashion plumbing products and is the #1 faucet brand in North America. Moen is also a major supplier of kitchen and bath accessories, as well as kitchen sinks, bath safety equipment and showering products.
Moen trace their roots back to 1937, when a young college student named Al Moen invented the single-handle mixing faucet. Al believed that people should be able to get hot and cold water out of a single faucet. His subsequent invention of the washerless cartridge literally changed the course of history for the plumbing industry. In addition to introducing the single-handle faucet to the world, Moen is also known throughout the plumbing industry for its many other “firsts.” Early innovations included the Swing'n'Spray® aerator that changes a faucet's flow from a stream to a forceful spray and the Riser® family of faucets that could be lifted up to 10" above a sink. Advancements in cartridges, valves and showering technology are at the core of who they are. A leader in plumbing innovations, the company is also well-known for its 25-year history of developing industry-leading sustainable practices. In 2008, Moen recycled nearly 82 percent of waste from the manufacturing process and almost 20 percent of all water used. As of 2009, all Moen bathroom faucets are certified to meet the EPA’s WaterSense criteria, conserving up to 32 percent of water while retaining great performance.
