Daisy Dai Wal-Mart’s E-Commerce Deputy HR President
Daisy is currently Deputy HR President of Wal-Mart’s E-Commerce with 20 years’ experience in human resources management and professional consulting, human resource performance improvement and organizational change operation; she has extensive practical experience in the fields of employee assessment, organizational development, talent management, and HR value enhancement. She graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and started her HR career in Singapore. She has assumed senior HR management positions in Taobao, Unilever, L'Oreal and other leading companies responsible for HR work in Greater China and the rest of Asia. She has worked in Accenture, engaged in organizational consulting and management of HR department for Greater China.
Wal-Mart was established in Arkansas in 1962 by Sam Walton. After fifty years’ development, Wal-Mart has become the world's largest private employer and chain retailers, repeatedly topping the Fortune Global 500 list and elected the most valuable brand.
Currently, Wal-Mart is running in 27 countries around the world, with more than 10,000 stores, 69 brands, a global workforce of more than 2.2 million employers; over 200 million customers visit Wal-Mart's per week. In the 2011 fiscal year, Wal-Mart generated $446.95 billion in revenue, ranking the third among the Fortune Global 500 companies in 2012. Also in 2011, Wal-Mart and the Wal-Mart Foundation donated a total of $319 million, and material worth over $480 million for charity purposes.
